Birmingham Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra: Espressivo Italiano

Join the  as they perform Espressivo Italiano tonight at Birmingham Groves High School. 

Conductor John Thomas Doson returns to put his imprint on a program of music from and about Italy. Rossini's sprightly Sinfonia of 1808 oepns the evening followed by Bizet's Roma, a rarity full of melody and charm from teh composer of Carmen. Schubert's Overture "In the Italian Style" is the warm-up for Mendelssohn's dramatic Symphony No. 4, a powerful work inspired by his Italian journey. Enjoy this exciting tour of the fabled, eternal Italy.
