2012-13 Classical Brunch Series

The Community House's Classical Brunch series is back for the 2012-13 season with its partner WRCJ 90.9 FM. 

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with a buffet brunch begining at 11:30 a.m. All performances start at 12:15 p.m.

Sept. 23: Works by Mozart: Theodore Olen, clarinet; Alexander Mishnaevski, viola; Pauline Martin, piano

Nov. 4: Large-scale work by Beethoven: Adam Stephniewski, Carolini Coade and Robert deMiaine. Featuring a special presentaiton on Beethoven and his role in violin history.

Dec. 16: Holiday horns. Karl Pituch and three more of the sensational DSO horns play music reflecting both Christian and Jewish traditions.

Jan. 13: Young concert artist and Ann Arbor native Benjamin Bailman performs duos by Ravel, Kodaly and Handel-Halvorsen with the artistic director of the Classical Brunch series, Robert deMaine.

Feb. 17: Introducing Yooshin Song, the new concertmaster of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, performing with beloved Detroit-area pianist, Pauline Martin.

March 17: Pianist Peter Takacs, Oberlin College professor and artistic director cellist Robert deMaine, peform an all-Beethoven program. They are recording the complete works and are performing the cycle throughout the US during the 2012-13 season.
