Are You in Mike Posner's 'Top of the World' Video?

The Groves High School graduate and Big Sean showcase their Birmingham and Detroit roots in this viral music video.

Popular singer and songwriter Mike Posner's viral video for 'Top of the World' is getting a lot of attention for featuring star Detroit athletes and local landmarks.

But there are lots of views of Birmingham-area residents during the four-minute long video, mostly filmed in the Groves High School gym before hundreds of students in September.

School officials allowed Posner, Groves class of 2006, and a film crew access to the gym for a few hours on a Sunday. They invited all Groves students to attend, but kept prior promotions to a minimum to avoid crowds of fans from showing up, Groves Principal Cathy Hurley said.

The entire project showcases Posner's Detroit roots, including his parents. It has more than 142,000 views on YouTube.com since its release earlier this week.

It’s also a preview to his second album “Pages,” which will be released early next year.
