Check out how patrons of the Baldwin Public Library have used the digital reader services: More than 13,000 eBooks were checked out from the library in 2013, officials said.

Gillian Flynn was the most popular author and wrote the most checked-out book, 'Gone Girl.' Her 'Dark Places', was the third-most checked out book.

Other popular books of the year were 'Fifty Shades of Grey' by E.L. James; 'Notorious Nineteen' by Janet Evanovich; and 'The Cuckoo’s Calling' by Robert Galbraith, revealed to be a pen name of J.K. Rowling. 

Books popular right now include 'Inferno' by Dan Brown, 'The Burgess Boys' by Pulitzer Prize winner Elizabeth Strout, and 'Never Go Back' by Lee Child, according to Kathryn Bergeron, associate director.

The Library currently offers 13 titles from the top 16 New York Times hardcover fiction bestsellers including 'Takedown Twenty' by Janet Evanovich, 'King & Maxwell' by David Baldacci, and 'Sycamore Row' by John Grisham.
