Spots Available for Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber Golf Outing

Officials say there are openings for the annual golf outing Monday at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield.

There is still time to join the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing next Monday, and one lucky participant could drive off with a new set of wheels.

The chamber will give away a two-year lease on a on a 2013 Chevy Camero SS convertible in one of two hole-in-one contests. The lease is courtesy of Mike Savoie Chevrolet and Gary Andrus of Adams Square Shopping Center.

The second hole-in-one prize is a Rolex watch sponsored by dBusiness Magazine and Hour.

"We're very excited to have this opportunity at this year's outing," Chamber President Joe Bauman said.

The outing starts with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by a patio grill lunch at  Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield. It is open to chamber members and non-members alike. The 18- hole shotgun scramble starts at 12:30 p.m.

The cost is $150 per golfer and $560 per foursome, which includes golf, use of the practice facility, locker rooms, refreshments on the course, and an afterglow with heavy appetizers and cash bar. Not one to hit the links? Not a problem, non-golfers can join the with appetizers and a cash bar for $10.

Plum Hollow Country Club, located at 21631 Lasher Rd., is host of the the 2015 Michigan Amateur Tournament and has a long history of hosting top golf events, including the PGA Championship, four Michigan PGA tournaments and Ryder Cup Team Matches.
