Kicking Off Patriot Week In Birmingham

Celebrating civics and the principles upon which America is founded upon is a lost art in modern America, he said.

Patriot Week kicked off with a solemn reminder of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the tragedy's 12th anniversary followed by words of action in Birmingham.

"It's entirely up to us to preserve our liberty and history," Oakland County Circuit Judge Michael Warren told the group of about two dozen at the Birmingham Area Seniors Coordinating Council Center.

During his 40 minute talk, Warren discussed how and why he co-founded the special annual effort with his teenage daughter, and how it continues to gain support from local, state and federal officials.
