Fox 2's Huel Perkins Talks Hope, Good News In Birmingham

Fox 2 News anchor Huel Perkins has seen his share of good and bad stories in more than two decades of bringing Detroit-area viewers the news. But the Louisiana-transplant has never lost his faith in the people that live in Metro Detroit.

He shared reminders of that with Birmingham-area residents Wednesday morning at the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center.

"Despite what you hear, have faith in the future, have hope," he told about three dozen guests of the Community Education through Collaboration and Communication (CECAC).

To help do so, he encouraged people to share the good news stories they read about and see on television, more than the negative and sensational.
