Five Musical Acts at Birmingham's Day on the Town

Day on the Town is a lot more than just shopping. Check out this year's musical attractions.


Birmingham's Day on the Town will feature four stages with live entertainment s set up around town from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Here's who and what you can expect to hear while enjoying downtown and what local merchants have to offer. Featured guests include:
 

Laura Rain and the Caesars

For those unfamiliar, this band features Birmingham's own George Friend on guitar and the soulful Laura Rain. 

The group members, who recently returned from Los Angeles, just released an album in June, are looking forward to the homecoming at one of Birmingham's signature events.

"We are very excited ato perform our original material and to do it on the main stage (in Birmingham) is going to be great,"Rain said.

Pete “BigDog” Fetters

Blues and rock.

Axis Music Academy

The Southfield-based Axis Music Academy offers private music lessons in the Metro Detroit Area and is one of four state licensed music schools in the state of Michigan.

Zander Michigan

Solo artist sings, plays guitar and the harmonica, sometimes all at once. 

Leah LaVigne

Pop and adult contemporary.
