Dive Into Spring at These Birmingham-Area Easter Egg Hunts

Get those baskets ready: several Easter egg hunts are scheduled for the Birmingham area this weekend.

It may not look, or feel, like spring outside but winter is officially over and Easter egg hunts are on deck all over the Birmingham area this weekend.

Got a little one who loves hunting those colorful eggs, whatever the weather? Find an egg hunt happening near you this weekend:

Poppleton Park Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: 10 a.m. Saturday
  • Where: Poppleton Park
  • Why Go: It's the 17th year for the Poppleton Park neighborhood's annual egg hunt. To participate, fill one dozen eggs per child with candy and trinkets and drop them off at organizers' homes by Friday. Make sure to indicate your child's age. This year, the coffee is donated by Tim Hortons while breakfast goodies will be provided by Kroger.

Pembroke Park Egg Scramble

  • When: Noon Saturday
  • Where: Pembroke Park
  • Why Go: The annual Pembroke Manor Egg Scramble is here again. The hunt will take place in the wooded grove north of the tennis courts in Pembroke Park. All Pembroke Manor residents, family and friends are welcome. Volunteers are needed to hide eggs around 11:30 a.m.

Beverly Park Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: 1 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: Beverly Park (18801 Beverly Rd., Beverly Hills)
  • Why Go: The Kensington Community Church of Birmingham is sponsoring a free Easter egg hunt for the Birmingham and Beverly Hills community this Saturday at Beverly Park. Different activities will be offered, including refreshments. Boots are recommended. 

Bowers School Farm Open Barn

  • When: Noon Saturday
  • Where: Bowers School Farm (1219 E. Square Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills)
  • Why Go: Hunt for Easter eggs at the Bowers School Farm "Open Barn" this weekend. You can also feed newborn goats and lambs, ride ponies, go on wagon rides and enjoy crafts for the whole family. General admission is free.

Don't forget:

You and your kids can also visit the Easter bunny at the Somerset Collection in Troy this weekend in the mall's North Grand Court from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. Plus, get a complimentary digitally uploaded photo with the Easter bunny from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday.
