Channel 7 Will Broadcast the Woodward Dream Cruise Live From Birmingham

The station will set up tents for its live Woodward Dream Cruise broadcasts by the 555 Building.

Fans of the Woodward Dream Cruise are guaranteed to see more of Birmingham this year.

Channel 7, the official broadcast partner of the annual automotive event, will host its coverage from Birmingham later this month after years of broadcasting from Royal Oak. The station will set up tents and broadcast from the area in front of the 555 Building throughout the day-long event on Aug. 17, city officials said. There may also be events planned there in the days leading up to the main event, but the station had not publicly released its coverage plans by Thursday afternoon.

Officials with the station did not immediately respond to requests for more information Thursday.

Want to get involved? The city of Birmingham is still in need of volunteers for Woodward Dream Cruise events.
