Birmingham Seaholm 90th Anniversary Parade Cancelled Due to Weather
A pep rally honoring nine decades of Maples tradition is still scheduled at 6 p.m. in the gym.
Officials with the Birmingham Public School cancelled the Birmingham Seaholm High School's 90th Anniversary Parade because of rain and anticipated cold temperatures. An indoor pep rally is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Participants planned to gather at 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham to line up for the 6 p.m. parade down Pleasant Street, west on Lincoln Street, and into the Seaholm parking lot off of Lincoln.
The National Weather Service predicts an 80 percent chance of rain tonight with a low of about 43 degrees.
The pep rally was initially scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
