Rain in the Weekend Forecast for Birmingham

Bring the umbrella if you plan to be out and about tonight and Sunday in Birmingham.

There's a chance it will be soggy early Saturday, but the ran should cease by afternoon, just in time for the Children of the World International Dance Show in Shain Park, according to forecasts.

The National Weather Service predicts a 40 percent chance of rain, largely before 10 a.m. in the Metro Detroit area. The skies should be partly cloudy later with a high temperature of about 79 degrees. The forecast calls for a chance of thunderstorms Saturday night through Sunday as a cold front rolls in following a series of warm fronts.

Sunday's forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of rain with a possible thunderstorm after 8 a.m. The high temperature will be about 70 degrees. So pack that umbrella and rain poncho if you're headed out to enjoy one of the final weeks of the Birmingham Farmers Market.
