The Student Connection will present a public seminar detailing what students and parents interested in attending college need to know.
The program is designed to give students and parents an overview of the information they need to find the best institution for the student, admission to the college and what's needed to succeed once enrolled.
A panel that includes educators and college counselors will discuss "How to Prepare," "The Right School," "Getting Accepted," "Acing the Application," "Class Selection," and "Utilizing the Summer Before the Start of College."
The program also is designed to present information that students and parents need to know and too often overlook or don’t receive. Topics to be covered include what to do before they head to college starting as early as freshmen year, the benefits of community college, tips for taking standardized tests, alternatives schedules for students, taking a Gap Year, and how to objectively evaluate a campus or program.
