Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride around downtown Birmingham on select days this holiday season. Carriage rides are available on select dates:

- Dec. 1: Noon-3 p.m.
- Dec. 2: Noon-3 p.m.

Carriage rides depart from the Santa House in Shain Park, near the corner of Henrietta and Merrill.

More About Shain Park
Located in heart of downtown Birmingham, Shain Park is a gathering place for Birmingham's residents. Boxed between Martin, Merrill, Henrietta and Bates streets, the park is a popular spot to relax, enjoy an open-air lunch or watch a concert. And with City Hall, the Birmingham Community House and Baldwin Public Library next door, there's no way to miss it.
With an elegant sculpture as its centerpiece, the park is flanked by two focus points. An open-air concert stage sits on the south end, while a fountain adorns the north side. In between there is plenty of open green space for a game of tag or tossing a ball.
