Ceramics: Surface Embellishment
Learn how to use different techniques to embellish their ceramics pieces. Instructor will focus on how relief carving, incision, Sgraffito and burnishing surface designs into wet clay works by focusing on principles of successful design and composition. Proper application of under-glazes and slip on greenware as well bisque ware, will be covered. Surface treatments can be applied to all forms of ceramic construction.
Students should bring carving tools and brushes (typically watercolor brushes work best.)
