Maple Rd., were approved by the Birmingham Planning Board at their meeting Aug. 8. The plans call for a three- and five-story independent senior living residence, with 123 apartments and eight live/work units. Launched in late 2011, Alex & Jane Shapemakers is an inspirational and educational clothing line launched by area resident and Birmingham-based psychologist, Marcie Zoref.
