the parking lot (portion in front of Shore Mortgage) needs to be fixed. I nearly wiped out thereRead Moreyes terday. Shore Mortgage owns the property but is apparently not responsible for the upkeep. It looks awful and is dangerous. Why can't the city force them to fix it?

Terence, perhaps you can buy yourself a book with that money. It's title is " How to winRead Morefriend s and influence people." by Dale Carnegie. You could use the work on your interpersonal communication deficiencies, just sayin"

Also Marge - Andreas Duany suggested a terrace at the south corner of the library, at the corner of Read MoreBates and Merrill, to feed energy into Shain Park. Why not have the city spend $10,000 so build a 30foot by 30 foot wood outdoor overhead terrace? Place it next to the current statue and flower arrangement, and put several tables and chairs (identical to Shain) underneath it? Duany suggested it, why not try it? Sound good Marge?

I recently read a blog titled "The Art and Science of Advertising" where the bloggerRead Morecomme nted: "Instead of pushing what the CEO's (other than safety) want, why not just ask the consumer? I love it when a car salesman/woman says "and this color is extremely popular" Really? Nobody asked my opinion. What makes it so popular? Not I! Not one person asked me for my favorite car color." Sound familiar? So, what 3 things do you want at Baldwin Marge? I'd really like to know, so would others, you are very knowledgeable about Baldwin.

Well, I think the Charter calls for the City to maintain the grounds but I believe the Charter also Read Morecalls on the Library Board to care for the building. I do agree some of the funding comes from the Commission but, the Library Board controls how it is spent. "The library board shall have the supervision, care and custody of the building and rooms of said library without any charge or expense for the use thereof."
