Although this winter has been a little more forgiving to Michigan residents compared to seasons past, many of our thoughts are starting to turn longingly to the warm sunshine, blooming flowers and budding trees of spring.

The Townsend Hotel will greet spring with new life of its own this year: outdoor dining for the Rugby Grille.  With plans currently being finalized, The Townsend will expand the Rugby Grille onto Townsend Street in April, just in time for the beginning of outdoor-dining season in May.

The patio design will exhibit the world-class quality and attention to detail that have defined The Townsend from day one. The food and beverage fare featured will be reminiscent of a café menu on a sunny European street, and outdoor dining at the Rugby Grille will introduce an element of “fun in the sun” to Townsend Street.  We are excited to show you what’s in store. Stay tuned for more information on the restaurant expansion and revamped menu to be released in advance of the renovation.
