Spring break is almost here and tanning salons are popular places to be when you want to look good before you hit the beach.

We're on a quest to rate the best of the best in Birmingham. So far, we've asked you about such things as car repair shops, coffee shops, family-friendly restaurants, barbershops, florists, breakfasts and places to buy pastries (check out all of them at Readers' Choice in Birmingham).

Today, the topic is tanning salons.

Visit Birmingham Patch Places to find Birmingham's tanning salons. Then, vote for your favorite shop by 9 a.m. Friday; we'll publish a story that day declaring the winner.
