Weekend Weather: Cold Days Ahead
The skies will be partly sunny, but Saturday's temperatures could feel like negative three with the wind chill.
With snow expected Friday night, Birmingham might wake up to some white stuff on the ground Saturday morning. However, while the snow won't make a showing, it will be a cold Saturday and Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 23 degrees. If you go out, though, take a warm coat: with the wind chill (gusts expected up to 28 miles per hour), it might feel like negative three out there.
Saturday night, it'll be even colder though skies will be partly cloudy. The low will reach 16 degrees, while wind gusts up to 22 miles per hour are expected.
On Sunday, the skies will be partly sunny with highs near 29 degrees. The wind will continue to blow — gusts are expected up to 25 miles per hour. Sunday night, the low will dip down to 19 degrees.
Looking ahead to Monday, the chance of snow returns with temperatures expected to reach 25 degrees.
