- Our Town Art Show and Sale
Where: The Community House
When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday
Why Go: This juried, all media art show provides a forum for Michigan artists to show, demonstrate and sell their work. The art ranges from traditional to contemporary. This year’s show and sale will showcase 365 pieces of artwork from 184 artists, and will award more than $10,000 in award money to participating artists.
- Fire Department Open House
Where: Adams Street Fire Station
When: 1 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Has your child ever told you he wants to be a fireman when he grows up? Well take the whole family out to the Adams Street Fire Station for the department's open house this Saturday. Attendees will get to check out the hoses, HAZMAT equipment, trucks, watch DTE Arcs and Sparks Demos, learn and experience fire safety and more.
- Greenwood Cemetery Tour
Where: Greenwood Cemetery
When: 2 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Murder mysteries, Indian massacres, love stories, founding fathers and feisty women — Birmingham has had them all! These stories, and more, will be re-told in the atmospheric autumn setting of one of Birmingham’s quietest and most beautiful places, Greenwood Cemetery in a tour sponsored by the Friends of the Birmingham Historical Museum & Park.
- Roeper Film Series: The Cats of Mirikitani
Where: Roeper Upper School
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: The Roeper School will present The Cats of Mirikitani as part of its seventh anual Amnesty and Diversity Film Series. The Cats of Mirikitani delves into the life of Jimmy Mirikitani, a painter living on the street when on 9/11. The event is free but donations will be accepted to benefit Roeper’s Make A Splash program.

Where: Baldwin Public Library
When: 10:30 a.m. Saturday
Why Go: The Baldwin Public Library invites the families of Birmingham to come celebrate fall with their annual Family Fun Fest Saturday morning. The morning will be filled with pumpkin crafts, tasty treats, music and stories.
