Vote Now: What's the Best Chinese or Asian Food in Oakland County?
Readers from 10 Patch communities voted last week on their favorite Chinese, sushi or Asian restaurant. Now those winners vie for the Oakland County Readers' Choice crown.
Patch readers are passionate about their food, and we found out last week just how passionate they can be about Chinese, Asian or sushi restaurants in particular.
So we decided it's time to step up the competition a notch: This week, those Readers' Choice winners compete for the title of Oakland County Readers' Choice champion. We're going to mix it up a little though: Instead of just voting, we're going to ask readers to rate and review their favorite spot. We'll use the ratings, reviews and comments below this story to determine the winner, after voting closes at 9 a.m. Friday.
Here's the list of last week's winners and a bit about them. To vote for your favorite restaurant, go to the "Review or rate" link and add your comments:

Daffy and Kevin – Mon Jin Lau was on last week's Readers' Choice poll for best sushi in Troy, but it was beaten out by Sushi Do. Then Sushi Do advanced to this week's county-wide competition. :)
Though feel free to leave a review on Mon Jin Lau's listing, too!: http://patch.com/L-nYFC

No Shangri-La? Their traditional dim sum is fantastic.

Sorry, Everett — assuming you're commenting on the West Bloomfield location and not the one Midtown — but Shangri-La was beaten last week. Let 'em know you love 'em at this address: http://patch.com/L-hhw8

I go to Mui's all the time and enjoy their food, BUT there is one place near my mom's in Farmington Hills area that has to be THE absolute best chinese restaurant I've ever been to- 'HOUSE OF ING'......Also, a long-time favorite if many is 'THE GOLDEN BOWL' in Oak Park on 9 Mile and Coolidge....'The Golden Bowl' has quite a following- it's common for people to travel long distances to eat there...I know many people who used to live in the Oak Park area who ultimately moved but still keep coming back to that place....As far as Peking House goes, I've gone there for years, BUT I must say-the place is filthy, they used to be on the dirty dozen list for years, and recently at a large party there a few people found hairs in their food as well as a very bad odor that nobody could figure out where it was originating from...

Wing Hing in Pontiac on Baldwin North of Montcalm. Best Chinese around. I drive 20 miles to get it.
