Vote for the Best Birmingham Restaurant Perfect for Lunch With Friends

The nominations are in, and now we need you to cast your vote for the best place in town to grab a bite to eat with friends.

Some restaurants are good for family outings. Some are perfec for that special occasion. While some are great when you want to grab a bite and gab with some friends.

Earlier this summer, we asked Birmingham Patch readers to nominate their favorite place to grab a bite to eat with friends, and it's official: the nominations are in.

So is it Toast? How about the Original Pancake House? Or the newly-open Frank Street Bakery? We recieved nominations for a total of eight restaurants around town, and now we're putting your favorites to a vote.

Cast your vote by Aug. 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named the 2012 Readers' Choice winner. The winners will be announced Aug. 24.

To vote, you must log in to Patch and you may vote once in each category, so make sure to tell your friends. Also, if you're having trouble seeing the polls, know you have to be logged into the desktop version to view them.

Want to see who else is up for a Readers' Choice award? Check out all the polls at Vote for the Best of Everything in Birmingham.

In a timely coincidence, the weekly e-newsletter from Oakland County government today features a new 2.5-minute video profile of Toast -- described as "a festive lunch and dinner bistro." http://bit.ly/MCGDtE

The list is incomplete. How about Pita Cafe and Dick O'Dow's?

Who created this list? What about the Rugby Grille in The Townsend Hotel? It is by far the most popular and has Birmingham Residences coming for years.

Their breakfasts are wonderful (try the pancakes w/bacon) dinner with Dover sole and their hamburger cant be beat.
