Someone tried to break into Birmingham's KLM Bike & Fitness last weekend, just 10 days after two bikes worth more than $5,000 were stolen from the Woodward Avenue shop.
According to Birmingham police, store employees found the deadbolt on the shop's back doors slightly popped out on Saturday morning. Police believe the incident happened between 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
According to reports, there was a pry mark on the metal plate secured to the door frame, but no entry was gained.
The incident occurs just over a week after someone stole two bikes from KLM Bike & Fitness. On Jan. 29, police say someone broke the bottom left window of their sliding front door, taking two Giant-brand bikes worth $4,550 and $915.
