Birmingham welcomed nearly 30 new shops, restaurants and salons in 2011. What is your favorite?

 

Almost 30 new businesses, salons, restaurants and shops opened in Birmingham this year. While we've made an effort to visit as many as possible, we know these new hot spots have already become a favorite of residents from Birmingham and beyond.

And so, which was your favorite new businesses from 2011? Was it one of the salons, such as Salon H202 or Nude: The Salon?

Or was Birmingham's newest pair of Mexican joints — Zumba Mexican Grille or Barrio — your 2011 favorite? Or maybe you discovered J. McLaughlin or the Paper Source while Christmas shopping, and you can't look back.
