Birmingham Police: Diamond Ring Stolen, Underage Drinkers Arrested Behind the Wheel

Police arrest two underage drinkers at Maple and Henrietta

Birmingham Police arrested two minors last weekend for underage drinking and driving. According to police reports, a police officer pulled over a vehicle near Maple and Henrietta around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Both occupants — a 20-year-old woman from Washington accompanied by a 19-year-old man from Rochester Hills — had been drinking, police say.

The pair was arrested, issued citations and held until sober.

Diamond ring taken from Pierce Street home

A $9,000 diamond wedding ring was stolen from a home on the 1400 block of Pierce, police say. According to police reports, the incident occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday. A private contractor working in the home is being questioned.

Tire slashed on Eton earlier this week

Police are investigating after a tire was found slashed on the 700 block of Eton earlier this week. According to reports, the car owner said the incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. There are no witnesses.

Police arrest two drunken drivers

Police arrested two drunken drivers in Birmingham over the past week:

  • A 54-year-old man from Warren was pulled over for driving erratically near Woodward and Emmons around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
  • A 57-year-old man from Clarkston was arrested for making a prohibited left turn at Old Woodward and Lincoln at 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.
