When it comes to learning the gender of your soon-to-be little one, parents can go one of two ways. Learn early and begin picking out names, toys and the blue or pink quilts months in advance, or let birth be a total surprise.
For many couples, it's a gut choice. According to NewsTonight.net, more parents in Australian hospitals are choosing to wait when it comes to knowing the gender, despite more advanced ultrasound technology that can detect gender earlier than ever.
What about you? Did you choose to learn your baby's gender early or wait to be surprised? What are the advantages? Any disadvantages? Does it really matter?

We found out ahead of time - I don't like surprises! :-) Although in some ways, it's still a surprise. Plus you have the advantage of planning ahead of time for a specific gender. And one name.

We found out ahead of time! We chose to be surprised early... I figured we could be surprised at 40 weeks or 20! And trust me...we were SHOCKED :) I swore we were having a girl but our darling baby boy had other plans! And I prefer to call a baby "he" or "she;" not "it!" :)
