Let Your Inner Screenwriter Emerge with Weekend Class
Just in time for the Uptown Film Festival, this two-hour class is $40 for art center members and $80 for guests.
The week is halfway over so we're thinking ahead to the weekend. The Uptown Film Festival descends on Birmingham this weekend, but check out what else is happening in the area with our Weekend Spotlight.
Our pick for today: Finding the Fun of Screenwriting with Ivan Raimi
- When: 2-4 p.m. Sunday
- Where: Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center
- Cost: $40 for members, $80 for guests
- Why Go: Royal Oak-based screenwriter and Groves High School graduate Ivan Raimi (brother of filmmaker Sam Raimi) will be teaching a class for all levels of screenwriters this weekend. The class will explore the basic rules and structure of the three-act screenplay, as well as discuss how to revive a dead scene, balance writing and your career and obtain financing. To register, visit the BBAC website.
Earlier this week, we discussed:
- Bloomfield Township Public Library to Host Book Sale Saturday
- Nearby Franklin to Hold Chilly Chili Cook-Off Saturday
