Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Hello, Birmingham! Learn How Patch Can Work for You

It's never been easier to learn how to share your information on Patch with lessons from new community editor Jason Alexander.

Ever wonder why certain businesses and groups are featured on Patch?

Well, a lot of times the answer it simple. They post it there.

Yep, it's that simple. And part of my new community relations specialist duties with Patch is to help you reach your audience.

My name is Jason Alexander. I'm not new to Patch. I served as the Fenton Patch editor for a little more than two years. Now, I have a new position, a community editor for several Oakland County Patch sites.

I'm here to help you inform the community about your upcoming events, brag about your students, tell the community who got the big promotion and who performed well in the big game. To do so, it comes down to learning how to effectively use Patch. All it takes is a few simple clicks and you'll be published and featured on Patch for the entire community to see.

I also want to help you get the conversation going about the hot topic in town. Concerns about the condition of roads? Politics on your mind? Talk about with the people in your community. I can show you how.

A good start would be following us on the Birmingham Patch Facebook Page and signing up for our daily newsletter. If you see the intitial "JA" popping up on our Facebook posts, that's me! Let's talk about what's important to you and your community.

Then if you are interested in posting on Birmingham Patch and want to learn more, you can contact me at jason.alexander@patch.com or 810-488-1353.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
