Gas prices are falling throughout Metro Detroit and even in Birmingham, prices are down 20 cents and more from last week.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.48 this morning, down from $3.57 a week ago.

The lowest gas prices in Metro Detroit this morning can be found in South Lyon — where gas prices are $3.24 a gallon near Pontiac Trail and 8 Mile and 9 Mile — as well as Westland, where gas is going for $3.25 a gallon at the Firebird Station at Ford Road and Wayne Road.

In and around Birmingham Monday morning, the cheapest gas you're going to find is $3.43 a gallon at the Speedway station on Woodward.
