Monday dawned gray and blustery in Birmingham, bringing with it higher gas prices across the region and around town.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.73 this morning, up from $3.67 a gallon a week ago.

If you're still looking for inexpensive gas, the cheapest reported gas in the region can actually be found in Detroit, at the corner of Chicago Street and Greenfield, at $3.49 a gallon. Gas is also $3.50 a gallon at the Meijer store in Commerce Township.

That isn't the case in Birmingham. Around town, the lowest price you'll find is $3.75, found at the Citgo station on Woodward. Elsewhere, Birmingham gas is $3.79 a gallon.
