This week, Frugal Family scoured local sources to come up with great deals, from bargains on everything from sweet corn to movie tickets. Remember to check with the merchants for additional conditions:

1. Moosejaw Mountaineering
   Deal: Summer is winding down, and that means the summer clearance sale at Moosejaw Mountaineering. Select items, including jackets, footwear and men's, women's and children's clothing, are 50 percent off.
   Good through: Until further notice.
   
2. Borders
   Deal: Borders' liquididation sale continues with deals on movies, books and magazines. This week, Borders will begin offering The Help by Katheryn Stockett — a recent best-seller and the inspiration behind the 2011 Dreamworks film — at 40 percent off.
   Good through: While supplies last
   
3. Palladium 12
   Deal: In honor of the Palladium 12 Theatre's 10-year anniversary, go to the movies any time Wednesday and receive your admission ticket, a regular pop, small popcorn and hot dog for only $10.
   Good on: Wednesday
4. Kroger
   Deal: Kroger is having its Colossal Seafood Sale this week, offering king crab for $12.99 with card or freshwater shrimp for $8.99 a pound with card.
   Good through: End of the week
5. Papa Joe's
   Deal: Enjoy the tastes of summer. Papa Joe's is offering direct-from-the-farm bicolor sweet corn on the cob for $1.99 for eight cobs.
   Good through: End of the week.
