Birmingham Public Schools' Midvale Early Childhood Center honored its first graduating class at an alumni breakfast.

During the breakfast, Midvale honored several 2012 high school graduates that made up the first class at the early childhood center in 1999. Students had the opportunity to meet with former teachers and classmates, as well as tour the building where they began their education.

The Midvale Early Childhood Center is located at 2121 Midvale St., attached to the Birmingham Area Seniors Coordinating Council and Center, and just behind Seaholm High School. The facility offers full and half-day classes for children 18 months to 4 years old.

Thanks so much for this story. I worked at Midvale during the summers through college and for a bit after and it was a great place. This makes me feel really old now! :)
