Everyone's a Winner in Patch's Contest With the Michigan Philharmonic

Readers will have a night on the town tonight with the Michigan Philharmonic's opening concert featuring Sharon Isbin Plays Rodrigo .

Four Bloomfield and Birmingham Patch readers told us their favorite way to spend a night out between both communities, and won tickets to tonight's opening night performance featuring Grammy-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin Plays Rodrigo. The show starts at 7 p.m. tonight at the Seligman Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills.

Sharon Isbin has won multiple Grammy Awards and is arguably America's leading classical guitarist. She is also the winner of Guitar Player magazine’s “Best Classical Guitarist” award, the Madrid Queen Sofia and Toronto Competitions, and was the first guitarist ever to win the Munich Competition. Her sold-out performances include some of the world's most famous concert halls, including New York’s Carnegie and Avery Fisher Halls, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center. Visit the orchestra's website for more information.

She'll play Spanish composer Joaquίn Rodrigo’s most famous and recognizable work Concierto de Aranjuez, written in 1939.

"I am a violinist and having performed with various orchestras in the area, I am very much looking forward to hearing Ms. Isbin! The Rodrigo is one of my favorites!" said Catherine Caminsky, a contest winner from Birmingham.

The Seligman Performing Arts Center is located at 22305 W.13 Mile Rd., in Beverly Hills.
