No one likes it when your car or truck breaks down, but when you need someone to take a look under the hood, Birmingham Patch residents say the Cranbrook Car Care Center is the best repair shop in town.
Readers had a list of Birmingham's repair shops and oil change stations to choose from in What's the Best Car Repair Shop in Birmingham? — from the service shop at Auto Europe to Sharkey Automotive Dent Removal.
On our poll, the Cranbrook Car Care Center actually tied Birmingham's Quality Coach Collision with four votes each. However it was the comments on the story that pushed Cranbrook over the top.
In fact, readers not only had glowing reviews for the Cranbrook Car Care Center, but for the shop's mechanics as well.
"Our family trusts Freeman at Cranbrook Car Care implicitly," Laura Hosts writes. "He is always available for our "emergencies" and is such a knowledgeable gentleman! We think he is the best!"

My family has gone there for years and years and the reaon? One name-- Freeman. He is what you only pray your mechanic could be, Polite, friendly, honest and good at his job. To Freeman the customer always comes first. He is the best of Birmingham.
