Birmingham, Beverly Hills Issue Snow Emergency Parking Ban

During a snow emergency, it's illegal to park your car on city roads until those roads have been cleared of snow.

Birmingham and Beverly Hills residents: watch where you park your cars today.

The city of Birmingham and the village of Beverly Hills have both issued snow emergencies Thursday.

During the ban in Birmingham, it is a civil infraction to park a vehicle, or allow it to remain parked, on any city roadway until that road has been cleared of snow.

Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and may be towed, the Birmingham Department of Public Services says. The registered owner of an illegally-parked vehicle will also be responsible for the towing cost.

According to Beverly Hills Village Clerk Ellen Marshall, the same rules for those parking on village streets in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills Village should consider a name change. California has nothing on Michigan IMO.
