Last Chance to Vote: Patch Athlete of the Week

Friday's your last chance to vote for your favorite prep sports athlete in Oakland County or write in an athlete you think deserves recognition. You have until midnight to register your vote!

Vote here to help choose the Patch Athlete of the Week of Oakland County for the week ending Jan. 6.

Berkley's Aarica McCray had the game-winning layup against Ferndale on Tuesday night. She finished the game with a team-high 16 points and six steals. She came back on Thursday night to led the Bears in scoring again with 17 points in a win over Hazel Park.

: Sami Stormont continues to score points in bunches. She put up 31 points on Tuesday against Oak Park and then on Friday night put up 21 points on Seaholm. Against Oak Park, Stormont also had 11 rebounds and four assists.

: Ferndale High School needed a win on Thursday hosting Oak Park and Jenkins led her team to victory. She dropped a career-high 30 points, had 11 rebounds and six steals. On Tuesday, Jenkins had a game-high 17 points in a loss to Berkley.

Marcarius Coakley; Athens High School (Boys Basketball): played two games this week and Coakley was great in both of them. He started the week with 17 points and 15 rebounds on Tuesday night in a win over Royal Oak. On Friday, he was even better against Flint Carment-Ainsworth. He had a school-record 39 points and added 11 rebounds to help the Red Hawks improve to 7-1.
