The Birmingham Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. May 3 at the district's administrative offices at 550 Merrill Street.

Reports

Debbie Hubbell, principal of Derby Middle School, will report on the school's spring break trip to China while Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Debbie Piesz will report on the district's financial statements for March.

Resolutions

• The school board will consider a resoluiton recognizing National Teacher Appreciation Week for May 1-7.
• The board will also consider a resolution establishing tuition rates for Southfield Public Schools students currently enrolled in Birmingham schools' tuition enrollment program.
• There is also a resolution on the agenda opposing the decision by the Southfield Public Schools Board of Education, ending the practice of releasing foundation grant money for students who wish to attend other school districts.
