Project DayDream Sets Auditions for 'Les Miserables: School Edition'
Project DayDream is pleased to announce auditions for their winter musical— Les Misérables: School Edition.
The Birmingham-based arts education company, Project DayDream, will also celebrate their 10 year anniversary with a lot of pride and fanfare. At the center of their celebratory weekend is the presentation of one of the most popular and brilliant musicals ever written.
Since its inception in 2012, Project DayDream’s goal has been to create unique, fun and challenging performing arts programs for students all over the Metro-Detroit area. Les Misérables: School Edition will serve as the 40thmusical produced by DayDream in ten short years!
Auditions for students ages 8-18 will be held September 22, 2012 at Groves High School. Auditions are by appointment only.
On both Broadway and in the West End, Les Misérables became a sensation. Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's score filled with popular works such as Castle On A Cloud, On My Own and One Day More. Combined with Victor Hugo's classic novel of a student uprising in pre-revolutionary France, Les Miserables provides a compelling story line that continues to thrill audiences all over the world.
A large cast of students (ages 8-18) is needed and those with little experience and seasoned professionals are welcomed and encouraged to audition. At auditions we are looking for children and teens that have a lot of energy, focus, passion for performing and natural talent.
