New Hires, Name Change for the District Before the School Board Tuesday
The Birmingham Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district's administrative offices on West Merrill.
On Tuesday, the board will consider several resolutions, including:
- Routine personnel action, incluidng recommendations for the hiring of a new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources as well as the principal position at the Birmingham Covington School. Farmington principal Mark Morawski was offered the position late last week.
- Amending the central office administrator/manager salary schedule.
- Approving attendance at the Character Education Partnership Conference.
Also on Tuesday, the school board trustees will discuss — but make no decisions on — a resolution to legally change the name of the school district. Before their regular meeting, the school board will also meet in closed session to discuss negotiations.
