Jewelers of Birmingham Seeking Student Jewelry Entries
Jewelers of Birmingham is holding their annual High School Jewelry Competition, where area high school juniors and seniors are invited to compete with their original jewelry creations.
Winners will receive $500, $250 and $100 for first, second and third place, respectively. All student work will be on display at Jewelers of Birmingham member stores from April 16-30, with the public able to vote on their favorite piece. The winners of the "People Choice Award" will win special prizes donated from area merchants.
The awards ceremony will be held May 4 at the Palladium 12 Theater.
This is the fifth year for the High School Jewelry Scholarship Competition. Jewelers of Birmingham is an organization of city jewelers, including Grinstein Jewelry & Design, David Wachler & Sons, Wachler Estate Collection, Astreins Creative Jewelers, Heartwear Designs, Halina Fuchs, My House of Style, Greenstone Jewelers, Legacy Jewelry, Schubot Jewelers and Birmingham Gemological Services.
