Congratulations to the three member team made up of Birmingham Auxillary Officers with the Birmingham Police Department!

The three officers, Brennan Hamilton, Berge Avesian and Timothy Griswold, took first place in the pistol shooting competition held each year in Jackson, Michigan, for police and reserve officers.

Auxillary officers are fully uniformed, armed and carry badges when on duty.  They help out during special events and walk a downtown beat when extra manpower is needed.   Birmingham currently has 13 members of this unit and all serve on a volunteer basis.
